COVID-19 Protocal

  • Illinois Phase 4 allows for sharing of equipment (passing basketball) and physical contact. In doing so we have added some extra safety measures.
  • Each participant will be given a quick screening. A contact free temperature check and question about any “feeling sick” symptoms of the last 24 hours. Player must be symptom free and have a temperature under 100.4 to participate.
  • Entering the Winnetka Community House participants and parents must be remain social distanced and masks must be worn. Mask is optional in the gym.
  • Parents can watch only from the upper balcony. No one is allowed to stay in the waiting room.
  • Parents/Players must make sure their equipment/basketballs and hands have been disinfected prior and after participation.
  • Players should have the following: mask (for outside the gym and is optional inside), a bag that has their sports drink/water, basketball, tennis ball, and cone or cone like object (empty bottle works too.) Sports Drink/Water bottle should never be shared.
  • Parents/Players must make sure their equipment and hands have been disinfected prior and after camp.



  • Fundamentals covered include Triple Threat Stance, proper shooting form, moving/cutting without the ball, defense, passing, rebounding, and dribbling. ​There will be a variety of fun high energy drills, games, and competitions. Awards/Prizes will be given out throughout the camp.
  • Dribbling Hand/Eye Coordination/Flexibility, Toughness, Body Control, Conditioning/Core Work
  • Mental Aspect of the Game, sportsmanship, positive attitude, off court maintenance, healthy lifestyle
  • Creating Space off the dribble, Combination Moves 
  • On court communication, Screen and Roll Situations, Finishing off around the basket, Basketball IQ, And more!
  • Shooting - Form, Release, 1-2 Step, Creating Space for the Shot, Follow Through
  • Passing - 2 Hand, 1 Hand, passing in tight spaces
  • Dribbling - Combo Moves, Creating Space, Breaking down a defender
  • Defense - Stance, Position, Lateral Speed, Help/Deny
  • Rebounding - Getting Position, Sealing, Second Jump, Apex Catch
  • Mental Aspect - Toughness, Sportsmanship, Positive Attitude, off court maintenance, healthy lifestyle, Teamwork
  • Screen and Roll - Using and defending the screen plus Screen Reads 
  • Footwork and Pivots - Triple Threat, Jab Step, Post Moves
  • Creating for Others - Cutting, moving without the ball, Spacing, Ball Movement, Leadership, Being Vocal

Build the Skills Summer Camp - Deerfield

  • Waiver form at the link above must be filled out prior to participation. Needs to be filled out only one time for the current year. Fill out a new waiver if any information has changed.
  • ​Players should bring their own basketball to camp. 

​​​​Our Build the Skills Summer Camp features fundamental basketball skill training, 5 on 5 Tournament, contests, prizes, awards, and much more. The Hoops4Health Staff will be building the skills necessary to become a better player. We will also teach proper teamwork and sportsmanship which is vital to becoming a strong basketball player. Our professional staff has worked with kids of all ages and skill levels. We take great pride in personal attention and hands on teaching. At the end of each camp week, prizes/awards will be given out for including MVP, Defensive Player, and Most Improved. Have your child spend the summer time with Hoops4Health and become a better basketball player while having a lot of fun!
